Role Description The Supervisor in the Gemini Edible Oil & Fats division at Gef is a full-time, on-site role based in Guntur. This position oversees daily plant operations, including monitoring production activities, coordinating with power generation and utilities teams, and ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The Supervisor allocates tasks, provides guidance to plant operators and technical staff, and tracks performance against production targets. The role involves coordinating small projects or process improvements, preparing basic reports, and communicating operational issues and progress to management. The Supervisor works closely with cross-functional teams to maintain smooth operations and minimize downtime.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Supervisory Skills and Team Leadership abilities to manage staff, coordinate shifts, and maintain a safe, efficient work environment.
Candidates should possess practical knowledge of Power Generation and Power Plants to support utilities operations and align power usage with production needs.
Candidates should possess Project Management capabilities to assist with operational improvements, equipment upgrades, and implementation of new processes.
Relevant experience in manufacturing, food processing, or industrial plant operations, preferably in edible oils and fats or related sectors.
Strong understanding of safety practices, quality standards, and basic maintenance principles in a plant environment.
Effective communication skills, ability to work in a team, and readiness to take ownership of daily operational outcomes.
Diploma or degree in engineering, industrial management, or a related technical field is preferred.
