Role Description The Electroplating Production Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for overseeing daily electroplating operations on the shop floor. This role includes assigning tasks to production staff, monitoring plating processes and bath parameters, and ensuring that output meets quality specifications and customer requirements. The supervisor is expected to track production schedules, coordinate with quality team, and optimize workflow to minimize downtime and material wastage. Daily responsibilities also include enforcing safety and environmental standards, maintaining accurate production records, and training team members in proper electroplating procedures and equipment use. The role requires close collaboration with management to implement process improvements, support audits, and meet production targets consistently.
Qualifications
Solid understanding of electroplating processes, chemical baths, and surface finishing techniques, with the ability to troubleshoot common plating issues.
Experience supervising production teams in a manufacturing or metal finishing environment, including task allocation, performance monitoring, and shift coordination.
Knowledge of quality control standards, inspection methods, and documentation practices related to electroplated components.
Familiarity with safety, health, and environmental regulations for chemical handling, waste disposal, and industrial operations.
Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple jobs, production schedules, and resource planning.
Effective communication skills to coordinate with production staff, quality, maintenance, and management stakeholders.
Diploma or degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related technical field; relevant vocational training or certifications in electroplating are an advantage.
Previous experience in electroplating or metal finishing supervision in an industrial setting, preferably within Mumbai or similar manufacturing hubs.
