MIS Executive – Hiring Requirements Brief for Recruitment Agencies Role Objective
We are looking for an MIS professional who can manage, improve and automate reporting systems, with a strong focus on Google Sheets, data management and process improvement.
Must-Have Skills
1. Strong Google Sheets / Excel • Good command of VLOOKUP / INDEX-MATCH, SUMIFS / COUNTIFS, IF / IFS, COUNTIF and ARRAYFORMULA • Ability to work with large datasets • Pivot tables, charts and dashboards • Data validation and dynamic dropdowns • Ability to troubleshoot formulas independently
2. Google Sheets – Preferred • Practical experience with IMPORTRANGE, QUERY, ARRAYFORMULA and GOOGLEFINANCE • Google Forms integration • Real-time collaboration and shared reporting systems
3. MIS & Reporting • Prepare regular management reports • Consolidate data from multiple sources/sheets • Create clear, user-friendly dashboards • Track key business metrics • Maintain accuracy and data integrity
4. Automation – Important Candidates with exposure to Google Apps Script / Excel VBA / reporting automation will be preferred. The person should be able to identify repetitive manual work and find ways to automate it, including scheduled reports and automated data consolidation.
5. Systems & Process Thinking • Understand an existing reporting process • Identify inefficiencies • Design a better system • Consolidate multiple Excel files/sources into one structured system • Implement appropriate access controls and data validation • Document processes • Support users during system changes
Candidate Profile Experience: Preferably 2–5 years of relevant MIS/reporting experience.
