Role Description The Manager role at Swaraj Engine Plant / Factory is a full-time, on-site position based in India. The Manager oversees daily plant operations, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining safety, quality, and cost-efficiency standards. Responsibilities include planning and scheduling production, monitoring workflows, coordinating with maintenance and quality teams, and resolving operational issues. The Manager leads and mentors team members, conducts performance reviews, and supports training and upskilling initiatives. The role also involves tracking key performance indicators, preparing reports for leadership, and driving process improvements and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong leadership and people management skills, including team supervision, performance management, and conflict resolution.
Candidates should possess operational and production management skills, such as process planning, resource allocation, and workflow optimization in a factory or plant setting.
Candidates should possess proficiency in safety, quality, and compliance practices, including adherence to industrial safety standards and quality control procedures.
Candidates should possess analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to interpret data, track KPIs, and implement corrective actions.
Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to coordinate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and senior management.
Relevant technical or engineering degree or diploma in mechanical, industrial, or production engineering (or a closely related field) is preferred.
Prior experience in manufacturing, automotive, or heavy engineering environments, especially in supervisory or managerial roles, is highly beneficial.
Familiarity with lean manufacturing, continuous improvement methodologies, and basic computer skills (e.g., MS Office, production management tools) is an advantage.
