Architect

Role Description The Architect at MadOverFish will play a key role in designing architectural spaces for residential, commercial, and public projects. This full-time, on-site position based in Navi Mumbai involves developing architectural concepts, preparing detailed drawings, and ensuring that designs align with structural, aesthetic, and life support system requirements. The role includes collaborating closely with fabrication teams, marine biologists, project managers, and clients to translate requirements into functional, safe, and visually compelling installations. The Architect will participate in site visits, coordinate with contractors, and support project execution from initial concept through final delivery. Daily responsibilities also include reviewing technical specifications, ensuring adherence to standards, and contributing to continuous improvement of design processes.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Architecture and Architectural Design, with the ability to create detailed drawings and 3D models for custom aquatic installations.
Experience in Project Management, including planning, coordination with cross-functional teams, and overseeing project timelines and deliverables.
Knowledge of Software Development and Integration as they relate to design tools, visualization platforms, and coordination with technical systems is an advantage.
Proficiency in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, or similar) and ability to interpret structural and MEP drawings.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Architecture or a closely related field, with appropriate professional licensure or eligibility as required.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work on-site with multidisciplinary teams and interact effectively with clients and vendors.
Attention to detail, creativity, and an interest in specialized environments such as aquariums, themed spaces, or experiential design.
Previous experience in interior architecture, themed environments, or niche fabrication projects is desirable.
