Role Description The Accountant will manage day-to-day financial activities, including recording transactions, preparing invoices, maintaining ledgers, and reconciling bank statements. The role involves assisting with month-end and year-end closing, preparing financial reports, and supporting budgeting and forecasting processes. The Accountant will ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal controls, while coordinating with internal teams and external stakeholders such as auditors and vendors. This is a full-time, hybrid role based in Bengaluru, with a combination of on-site work and some work-from-home flexibility.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong core accounting skills, including general ledger management, accounts payable and receivable, and bank reconciliation.
Candidates should possess skills in financial reporting and analysis, including preparation of balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports.
Candidates should possess skills related to taxation and compliance, including understanding of relevant tax laws, statutory filings, and regulatory requirements.
Candidates should possess proficiency in accounting software and tools, such as ERP systems, spreadsheet applications, and basic data management.
Candidates should possess strong numerical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.
Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams and external partners.
Relevant academic qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field are preferred; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, CPA-equivalent) are an advantage.
Prior experience in an accounting or finance role, ideally within a corporate or technology-driven environment, is beneficial.
