Role Description The Social Media Manager intern will support Aella Foundation’s online presence by planning, creating, and publishing content across social platforms on a remote basis. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing social media calendars, drafting posts and captions, engaging with the community through comments and messages, and monitoring platform performance. The intern will help implement content strategies that align with Aella’s mission, optimize posts for reach and engagement, and collaborate with team members on campaigns that promote gender equality and inclusion. They will also assist with basic analytics reporting, identifying trends, and recommending improvements to enhance visibility and impact. This is an internship role designed to provide hands-on experience in social-impact communication and digital advocacy.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess skills in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO) to manage platforms and grow audience engagement.
Candidates should possess strong Communication and Writing skills to craft clear, inclusive, and compelling messages.
Candidates should possess skills in Content Strategy to plan and align social media campaigns with organizational goals.
Candidates should have a demonstrated interest in social impact, gender equality, and inclusion, with an understanding of respectful, inclusive language.
Candidates should be comfortable working remotely, managing time effectively, and collaborating using digital tools.
Candidates should have basic knowledge of social media analytics, familiarity with major platforms (e.g., Instagram, X/Twitter, TikTok, LinkedIn), and openness to learning new tools.
Relevant coursework or experience in communications, marketing, social sciences, or related fields is beneficial but not mandatory.
