Role Description The Audit Counselor – Hospitality / Food And Beverage will conduct on-site audits and reviews of hotel, restaurant, and food service operations in Tamil Nadu, India. This full-time role involves examining financial records, operational processes, inventory management, and compliance with internal policies and external regulations. The Audit Counselor will prepare clear audit reports, document findings, and propose actionable recommendations to improve controls, reduce risks, and support sustainable growth. The role includes meeting with client stakeholders, clarifying audit objectives, following up on implementation of agreed measures, and maintaining accurate documentation in line with firm standards. The Audit Counselor will work closely with internal teams and client personnel to ensure timely completion of engagements and consistent quality of service.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of auditing principles, internal controls, and risk assessment, ideally within hospitality or food and beverage environments.
Proficiency in financial analysis, basic accounting, and review of transactional data and cost structures.
Ability to assess operational processes, including inventory management, cash handling, procurement, and compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
Effective written and verbal communication skills for preparing audit reports, presenting findings, and engaging with diverse stakeholders.
Solid organizational and time-management abilities, with capacity to handle multiple on-site assignments and meet deadlines.
Comfort with using office productivity tools and audit documentation software or spreadsheets.
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Hotel Management, or a related field; professional certifications (such as CA, CMA, CIA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
Experience in hospitality or food and beverage operations, audit, or consulting is preferred; entry-level candidates with strong analytical aptitude may also be considered.
