Role Description The Credit Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Bengaluru, responsible for overseeing credit assessment and approval processes for retail and commercial auto finance customers. The role involves evaluating credit applications, analyzing financial statements and credit histories, and ensuring alignment with internal credit policies and regulatory guidelines. The Credit Manager will monitor portfolio performance, identify emerging risks, and recommend mitigation strategies while maintaining a balance between growth and asset quality. Day-to-day responsibilities include collaborating with sales and operations teams, setting and reviewing credit limits, preparing credit reports and dashboards, and supporting internal and external audits. The role also includes continuous improvement of credit processes, contributing to policy updates, and providing guidance and training to team members and stakeholders on credit-related matters.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong expertise in Credit Management and Credit, including structuring and evaluating credit proposals.
Candidates should possess skills in Credit Risk Management, with experience in risk assessment, mitigation strategies, and portfolio monitoring.
Candidates should possess advanced Analytical Skills, including financial analysis, data interpretation, and decision-making based on quantitative and qualitative information.
Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Finance, including lending principles, financial products, and regulatory requirements relevant to auto financing.
Relevant academic qualifications such as a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field; professional certifications in credit or risk management are an advantage.
Experience in banking, NBFC, or auto finance with a track record in managing retail or commercial credit portfolios is preferred.
Strong communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
High level of integrity, attention to detail, and proficiency in using credit assessment tools and standard office software.
