Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for a Junior Consultant Anaesthesiologist based in Thane. The role involves assessing patients pre-operatively, reviewing medical histories, and determining appropriate anesthesia plans in consultation with senior clinicians and surgeons. Daily responsibilities include administering anesthesia, monitoring patients during procedures, managing pain control, and ensuring safe recovery in the post-anesthesia care unit. The Junior Consultant Anaesthesiologist will participate in ward rounds, respond to emergency calls related to anesthesia and critical care, and maintain accurate clinical documentation. The role also includes adherence to hospital protocols, participation in clinical audits, and involvement in training and case discussions to enhance care quality.
Qualifications
Recognized medical degree (MBBS) with specialization in Anaesthesiology (MD/DNB/DA) and valid registration with the appropriate medical council.
Foundational skills in administering general, regional, and local anesthesia, and monitoring patients throughout surgical and diagnostic procedures.
Ability to conduct thorough pre-anesthesia assessment, manage perioperative pain, and provide post-operative care in alignment with clinical guidelines.
Knowledge of emergency and critical care practices, including airway management, resuscitation, and stabilization of high-risk patients.
Strong clinical judgment, attention to detail, and adherence to patient safety standards and infection control protocols.
Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with surgeons, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals.
Ability to work in shifts, handle on-call duties, and remain calm and organized in high-pressure clinical situations.
Commitment to continuous learning, participation in clinical meetings, and openness to supervision and feedback from senior consultants.
