Position: Bilingual Hindi STEM Expert (PhD) — AI Safety
Type: Contract
Compensation: $23–$27/hour
Location: Remote
Role Responsibilities
Write expert-level prompts in Hindi across specialized scientific topics.
Evaluate and annotate model responses for scientific accuracy, helpfulness, and appropriate handling of sensitive content.
Apply structured guidelines to classify prompts and conversations.
Work independently and asynchronously to ensure the safety of AI models in handling technical topics.
Collaborate with AI research teams to improve model performance and safety.
Qualifications
Must-Have
PhD in chemistry, biology, or a closely related field.
Native or near-native fluency in Hindi and business-level written English.
Deep familiarity with modern laboratory and computational techniques in your subfield.
Sound judgment around scientific safety and responsible handling of dual-use information.
Preferred
Based in India or the wider South Asia region.
Expertise in radiochemistry, nuclear chemistry, or related fields.
Demonstrated depth in a specific subfield like organic synthesis, molecular biology, or genetics.
Experience in reviewing, grading, or red-teaming technical content.
