Role Description The Architect role at Ekaaya Collaborative is a full-time, on-site position based in Odisha, India. In this role, the Architect will develop architectural concepts, prepare drawings and design documentation, and coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure design intent is maintained through all project phases. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting site analyses, participating in client meetings, refining design solutions, and collaborating with engineers and consultants for integrated project delivery. The Architect will support project planning, assist in preparing project timelines, and help oversee design compliance with local regulations and standards. This role involves regular review of construction progress, providing design clarifications, and contributing to continuous improvement of design processes and practices.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Architecture and Architectural Design, including concept development, spatial planning, and preparation of detailed drawings.
Candidates should possess skills related to Software Development and Integration in the context of architectural tools and workflows, such as using design, BIM, or collaboration software effectively.
Candidates should possess Project Management capabilities, including basic scheduling, coordination with stakeholders, and monitoring design and construction milestones.
Candidates should have proficiency with industry-standard design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, or similar) and be comfortable working with digital collaboration tools.
Candidates should demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work in multidisciplinary teams and engage with clients and contractors professionally.
Candidates should have a recognized degree in Architecture or a closely related discipline and knowledge of relevant building codes, regulations, and sustainability principles.
Prior experience in architectural practice, especially in on-site coordination and delivering projects in the Indian context, will be considered an advantage.
