Role Description This full-time, on-site Phlebotomist role is based in India and involves performing blood collection procedures safely and efficiently. The Phlebotomist will greet and identify patients, verify orders, prepare equipment, and draw blood using appropriate techniques and safety protocols. Daily responsibilities include labeling and handling specimens, maintaining sterile work areas, and coordinating with laboratory and medical staff to ensure timely processing. The role also involves documenting procedures, adhering to infection control standards, and providing calm, clear communication to patients before, during, and after collection.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Blood Collection skills, including venipuncture and capillary sampling.
Candidates should possess solid Laboratory Skills, such as specimen labeling, handling, and basic processing.
Candidates should possess Medical Assisting skills to support clinicians and manage patient interactions.
Candidates should possess knowledge of Medical Terminology and foundational understanding of Medicine relevant to phlebotomy.
Relevant certification or diploma in phlebotomy or medical laboratory technology is preferred.
Attention to detail, adherence to safety and infection control protocols, and reliable record-keeping are essential.
Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a clinical team environment are required.
Prior experience in a hospital, clinic, or diagnostic laboratory setting will be an advantage.
