Role Description The Jr Telecom Engineer is a full-time, remote role responsible for supporting the design, implementation, and maintenance of telecommunications systems and networks. Day-to-day tasks include assisting with network design documentation, configuring basic telecom and VoIP components under supervision, and performing routine troubleshooting to resolve connectivity or service issues. The role involves providing technical support to internal teams and clients, analyzing network performance data, and escalating complex issues to senior engineers as needed. The Jr Telecom Engineer will also help maintain accurate records of configurations, changes, and incident resolutions, while adhering to Centillion’s quality, safety, and security standards.
Qualifications
Ability to work with telecommunications systems and basic network design, including familiarity with wireline and wireless concepts.
Skills in troubleshooting and providing technical support for telecom and network-related issues.
Understanding of Voice over IP (VoIP) technologies and their integration into telecom networks.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and accurate documentation.
Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaborating with global teams and clients.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Telecommunications, Electronics, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
Basic knowledge of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, switching) and industry standards is beneficial.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage time effectively, and adapt to evolving technologies.
