Role Description This is a full-time, on-site HPLC Service Engineer role based in Hyderabad. The HPLC Service Engineer will perform installation, preventive maintenance, and corrective repair of HPLC systems at customer laboratories, ensuring instruments operate reliably and within specified performance parameters. Day-to-day responsibilities include diagnosing technical issues, troubleshooting hardware and software problems, performing system qualification, and documenting service activities in line with quality and compliance requirements. The role involves providing technical support and guidance to end users, coordinating field visits, and communicating service plans and outcomes clearly to customers and internal teams. The engineer will collaborate closely with application specialists and sales teams to support customer satisfaction, contribute to continuous improvement, and participate in training on new technologies and products.
Qualifications
Strong troubleshooting and technical support skills for HPLC systems and related analytical instruments.
Hands-on experience in field service, including on-site customer interaction and service documentation.
Proficiency in maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment, including preventive and corrective actions.
Effective communication skills to explain technical issues, coordinate service activities, and build professional customer relationships.
Degree or diploma in Instrumentation, Electronics, Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related scientific/engineering discipline.
Understanding of chromatography principles, HPLC operation, and basic analytical methods.
Ability to work independently in the field, manage time and travel schedules, and handle multiple service assignments.
Attention to detail with a focus on safety, compliance, and accurate reporting; experience in regulated or ISO-certified environments is an advantage.
Basic computer literacy, including use of service management tools, documentation software, and instrument control software.
Prior experience as a service engineer or laboratory technician working with HPLC or similar analytical systems is preferred.
