Role Description The Senior Quality Assurance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Pune District, responsible for leading all quality assurance activities across manufacturing operations. This position oversees the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality systems, including inspection processes, testing protocols, documentation, and compliance with internal and external standards. Day-to-day tasks include managing QA teams, reviewing production and quality reports, conducting root cause analyses, coordinating corrective and preventive actions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve processes. The role also involves interacting with customers and suppliers on quality-related matters, facilitating audits, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and reduce defects. The Senior Quality Assurance Manager is expected to provide strategic guidance on quality policies, train staff on best practices, and ensure adherence to regulatory and industry requirements.
Qualifications
Strong expertise in quality management systems, including development, implementation, and continuous improvement of quality processes.
Proven experience in managing quality assurance teams in a manufacturing or industrial environment, preferably related to plastics or precision components.
Demonstrated ability in root cause analysis, problem-solving, corrective and preventive action planning, and data-driven decision-making.
Experience coordinating internal and external audits, customer quality requirements, and compliance with relevant industry and regulatory standards.
Solid understanding of production workflows, process controls, and inspection/testing methods used in manufacturing operations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with production, engineering, supply chain, and leadership teams.
Proficiency in using quality-related tools and software (e.g., statistical analysis, documentation systems, reporting tools).
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related technical field; advanced certifications in quality (such as Six Sigma, ISO-related certifications) are an advantage.
Demonstrated leadership skills, including mentoring staff, managing performance, and driving a culture of quality and safety.
Ability to work on-site in Pune District and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
