About the role

Description supplied by the original job listing.

The Role: This role will focus on US Taxation with specialized knowledge of international tax provisions (1116 + 2555), and review capabilities — someone who can deliver high-quality work and communicate effectively with clients and teams.
Core Experience Requirements
Total Experience: 3-5 years in US Individual Taxation, primarily focused on preparing and reviewing Form 1040 (U.S. Individual Income Tax Return).
Enrolled Agent certification is mandatory for manager level.
Key Technical Expertise:
Strong hands-on exposure to Form 1040 – candidates should have prepared/reviewed a high volume of complex 1040 returns.
Mandatory experience in: Form 1116 (Foreign Tax Credit) – specifically for Employment Income.
Form 2555 (Foreign Earned Income Exclusion).
These indicate the role involves clients with international income (expats, foreign residents, or employees working abroad).
Review Experience (Critical for certain candidates): If the candidate has worked on Form 1040 GMS (Global Mobility Services / expatriate tax returns), they must have at least 1 year of review experience. Pure preparation experience without review may not suffice for GMS candidates.
Skill Set & Soft Skills:
Technical Skills:
Deep knowledge of US tax rules related to foreign income, credits, exclusions, and deductions.
Proficiency in tax preparation software (e.g., Lacerte, UltraTax, or GMS-specific tools).
Ability to handle complex scenarios like dual-status taxpayers, foreign housing exclusions, etc.
Communication Skills (Very Important):
Strong verbal and written English communication.
Experience in client-facing interactions, query resolution, or coordinating with US clients / onshore teams.
Other Desirable Traits:
Ability to work in a fast-paced, process-driven environment (typical of KPO/BPO tax teams).
Attention to detail and quality focus (review-level accuracy expected).
Team player with mentoring potential (as it’s a Senior Associate role).
Ideal Candidate Background :
Education: CA, CPA (preferred), CMA, or relevant tax qualifications. Strong commerce/tax background
