Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Carpenter role based in Uttarakhand, India. The Carpenter will perform day-to-day tasks such as measuring, cutting, assembling, and installing wood and other building materials for structural framing, interior finishes, and custom architectural elements. Responsibilities include safe and efficient use of hand and power tools, reading and interpreting construction drawings, setting out work areas, and ensuring precise, high-quality workmanship. The role involves collaborating with designers, site supervisors, and other trades, maintaining a clean and organized worksite, and following all safety standards and local building regulations. The Carpenter will help deliver projects on schedule and support the firm’s commitment to durable, well-crafted construction.
Qualifications
Strong carpentry skills, including structural and interior work such as framing and finish carpentry.
Proficiency in safe use and maintenance of hand tools and power tools commonly used in construction.
Ability to read and interpret drawings, take accurate measurements, and follow technical specifications.
Sound understanding of construction methods, materials, and basic building codes or standards.
Attention to detail, quality-focused mindset, and ability to complete tasks with minimal supervision.
Reliable work ethic, punctuality, and willingness to work on-site in varying weather and site conditions.
Previous experience as a carpenter or relevant vocational training; experience on architectural or design-led projects is an advantage.
Basic knowledge of workplace safety practices and commitment to maintaining a safe jobsite.
