About the Role
Applix is seeking an experienced License Compliance Analyst to join our IT Audit & Compliance team. This role is responsible for ensuring software license compliance across the enterprise through effective Software Asset Management (SAM) practices.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with license reconciliation, Effective License Position (ELP) development, vendor audit support, and software license optimization. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain compliance, minimize licensing risks, optimize software investments, and ensure audit readiness.
Key Responsibilities
Perform software license compliance reviews by reconciling software entitlements against deployed software installations.
Develop, maintain, and validate Effective License Position (ELP) reports for enterprise software vendors.
Support software vendor audits, compliance assessments, license true-up activities, and audit readiness initiatives.
Analyze software usage to identify compliance risks, licensing gaps, and optimization opportunities.
Interpret software licensing agreements, contracts, maintenance entitlements, and vendor licensing models.
Collaborate with Software Title Owners, Procurement, Infrastructure, Security, and IT Operations teams to ensure accurate software license management.
Collect, validate, reconcile, and maintain software inventory and entitlement data from enterprise asset management platforms.
Maintain accurate software asset records across Software Asset Management (SAM) and IT Asset Management (ITAM) systems.
Ensure data integrity across CMDB, software inventories, and licensing repositories.
Generate compliance reports, dashboards, and management metrics to support decision-making.
Recommend process improvements that enhance software compliance, operational efficiency, and cost optimization.
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives for Software Asset Management governance and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
4+ years of experience in Software Asset Management (SAM), IT Asset Management (ITAM), or Software License Compliance.
Hands-on experience performing software license reconciliation and Effective License Position (ELP) development.
Experience supporting software vendor audits, compliance assessments, and license true-up activities.
Strong understanding of enterprise software licensing models and contract interpretation.
Experience working with enterprise Software Asset Management and configuration management tools.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret software entitlement and deployment data.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
