Fit & Quality Partner

This role will partner with our Quality team in Australia, Designers, Sourcing Team, and Suppliers/factories to ensure our own brand products are safe, compliant, and great quality for our customers. Acting as a critical technical bridge, this role ensures fits and quality standards are maintained and are aligned to the BIG W standards across our own brand clothing range. By driving supplier empowerment and digital 3D fit innovations in Asia, this role supports the delivery of great value products for our customers.
MAIN ACCOUNTABILITIES
This role will partner with our Fit & Quality Partner Aus, Designers, Sourcing Team and suppliers/factories to ensure our own brand products are safe , compliant and great quality for our customers.
Garment construction experience including pattern making and understanding of grading to drive product fit simplification, Fit and evaluate all samples against tech pack with Stakeholders.
Utilise 3D tools and software to evaluate FIT, driving the business transition toward digital sample approvals in Asia to reduce physical iterations.
Provide suggestions of the best way to construct or adjust garment and resolve any potential style and fit issues. Review Bronze, Silver and Gold Seal samples along with required QA documentation
To apply critical thinking and informed decision making to develop risk-based and customer centric product requirements in briefs, desktop review forms and test metrics
Engage with both internal and external stakeholders to support their understanding of product safety , quality and compliance requirements, and how they help us to launch safe and value products for our business units.
Ensure size standards, construction and fit of samples/production are consistent with BIGW requirements
Exercising discipline and governance to ensure that the products launched in our stores meet our requirements by consistently applying the NPD process for Own Brand products .
Ensure each product is entered fully into the product database PLMS and is updated with all new information as it comes to hand.
Driving continuous improvement by reviewing customer complaints to identify emerging safety and quality trends and proactively advising on the necessary changes to prevent or reduce them.
Specialise in a department, but be flexible to work across the BIG W business.
To ensure all factories which produce our own brand products meet the compliance requirements for Woolworths Supplier Excellence and Responsible Sourcing Policy.
Investigate product incidents (returns, complaints or feedback) using risk based thinking to determine whether withdrawals or recalls are necessary to ensure the safety of our customers and team.
CORE CAREER EXPERIENCE
Sound knowledge of garment construction, pattern making, garment grading and a full understanding of the fit process.
Good understanding of relevant safety and compliance standards for clothing product range.
