Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Social Worker role based in Prayagraj. The Social Worker will engage directly with individuals, families, and communities to assess needs, provide counseling and psychosocial support, and facilitate access to health, legal, and social services. Daily responsibilities include conducting field visits, maintaining case records, organizing community meetings and awareness sessions, and coordinating with partner organizations and local authorities. The role involves designing and implementing intervention plans, monitoring program outcomes, and preparing reports and documentation for internal and external stakeholders. The Social Worker will also contribute to advocacy efforts, support capacity-building activities, and participate in team meetings and trainings to strengthen program impact.
Qualifications
Demonstrated experience in social work, community development, or related human services, with strong case management and outreach capabilities.
Ability to provide counseling, crisis intervention, and psychosocial support with empathy, cultural sensitivity, and professional boundaries.
Strong communication, facilitation, and documentation skills, including the ability to prepare reports and maintain accurate records.
Capacity to collaborate effectively with community members, colleagues, government agencies, and partner organizations.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, or a related field is preferred.
Comfort working in field settings, including rural or underserved areas, and readiness to travel locally as required.
Basic computer literacy, including familiarity with word processing, spreadsheets, and email for documentation and reporting.
Commitment to gender-neutral, non-discriminatory practices and adherence to organizational policies on safeguarding and ethical conduct.
