Alchemist also offers training and supervision for accounting divisions and supports business valuation and merger and acquisition activities.
Role Description The Senior Associate role is a full-time, on-site position based in Kozhikode. The Senior Associate will support assurance and accounting engagements, including preparing and reviewing financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS, and assisting in audits. Responsibilities include analyzing performance and profitability, monitoring internal controls, reviewing cash flows to support liquidity, and contributing to business valuations and merger and acquisition projects. The Senior Associate will collaborate with consultants and clients, prepare reports and documentation, and help train and guide junior team members in accounting and advisory tasks. The role also involves coordinating with cross-border teams when required and maintaining high professional and ethical standards in all client interactions.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in financial accounting, IFRS-based reporting, and preparation and review of financial statements.
Candidates should possess skills in audit and assurance, including testing internal controls, performing analytical procedures, and documenting audit findings.
Candidates should possess skills in financial and business analysis, including profitability analysis, cash flow analysis, and performance measurement.
Candidates should possess skills in advisory work such as risk assessment, internal control evaluation, and support for mergers, acquisitions, and business valuation.
Candidates should possess skills in communication and collaboration, including clear report writing, client-facing communication, and teamwork across locations.
Relevant professional qualifications such as CA Inter, ACCA, or a master’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field are preferred.
Prior experience in an accounting firm or consulting environment, with exposure to assurance and advisory engagements, is highly beneficial.
Strong attention to detail, ethical judgment, proficiency in commonly used accounting and audit software, and the ability to work on-site in Kozhikode are required.
