About the role
Description supplied by the original job listing.
College Circle AI is building an AI-powered learning ecosystem around a central belief:
“Curiosity should never die in a classroom.”
The company is working toward an integrated ecosystem across students, teachers, and institutions. The research function is expected to influence real decisions—not produce documents that nobody uses.
Role Purpose
We are looking for intellectually curious researchers who can investigate difficult questions, challenge assumptions, collect evidence, identify patterns, and convert fragmented information into decision-ready insights.
This role is suitable for someone who enjoys asking:
Is this actually true?
What evidence supports this claim?
What are students really struggling with?
Why are users behaving this way?
What are competitors missing?
What would make a university adopt this?
What could make this strategy fail?
What should College Circle AI test next?
What You Will Work On
The researcher may contribute across:
Student behaviour research — study habits, doubt-solving, exam preparation, AI adoption, motivation, engagement and learning barriers.
Teacher research — repetitive academic queries, workload, assignment evaluation, personalization constraints and AI-assisted teaching workflows.
Institutional research — university procurement, decision-makers, pilots, academic technology adoption and implementation barriers.
Product research — validating features before development, user interviews, usability findings, problem discovery and experiment design.
AI and EdTech research — emerging AI-learning systems, adaptive learning, tutoring models, agentic systems and classroom technology.
Competitor intelligence — product positioning, pricing, features, GTM, funding, weaknesses and strategic gaps.
Market research — TAM/SAM/SOM inputs, Indian higher-education trends, institutional digitization and student spending behaviour.
Investor and strategic research — investor thesis matching, accelerator mapping and evidence for pitch narratives.
Primary research — surveys, interviews, focus groups and campus-level studies.
Research synthesis — turning raw findings into concise decision memos for founders and teams.
