Role Description The Public Speaking Mentor is a full-time, remote role focused on helping young learners develop confidence and clarity in verbal communication. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and delivering live online sessions, guiding learners through structured public speaking exercises, and providing constructive, age-appropriate feedback on presentations and speeches. The mentor will design engaging activities that build skills in storytelling, articulation, voice modulation, and audience engagement. Additional responsibilities include monitoring learner progress, collaborating with the academic team to refine content, maintaining detailed records of sessions, and communicating regularly with internal stakeholders on learner outcomes and needs.
Qualifications
Strong public speaking, presentation, and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify concepts for children and teens.
Experience mentoring, teaching, or coaching young learners in communication, drama, debate, or related fields.
Excellent spoken and written English, with clear articulation and a friendly, student-focused teaching style.
Comfort with remote teaching tools, video conferencing platforms, and basic digital collaboration software.
Ability to design engaging, structured activities and adapt teaching methods to different age groups and skill levels.
Patience, empathy, and strong interpersonal skills, with a commitment to inclusive and respectful communication.
Bachelor’s degree in Education, Communications, Performing Arts, English, or a related discipline is preferred.
Prior experience in online education or edtech environments is an advantage.
