Commodity Trader

We are looking for an experienced Commodity Trader to join our Trading team, with a strong focus on export markets and commercial trading activities across agricultural commodities such as pulses, rice, and grains.
This role is primarily commercial and market-driven, focusing on originating and executing profitable trading opportunities, managing price risk, and developing international trading flows.
Key responsibilities:
Identify and execute trading opportunities in international markets, with a focus on exports
Manage pricing strategies, margins, and spreads in line with global market conditions
Monitor international market trends, including supply-demand dynamics, trade flows, and pricing movements
Develop and maintain relationships with international buyers, suppliers, and brokers
Lead commercial negotiations and close trading deals
Manage market exposure and trading positions, ensuring alignment with internal risk frameworks
Collaborate with internal teams for execution support, while maintaining a commercial and trading focus
Ideal candidate profile:
✔ Minimum 5 years of experience in commodity trading, preferably in pulses, rice, or grains
✔ Strong experience in export trading and international markets
✔ Solid understanding of price risk, margins, and market positioning
✔ Proven ability to generate and manage trading P&L
✔ Strong commercial mindset and negotiation skills
✔ Ability to operate in a fast-paced, market-driven environment
✔ Experience working with global counterparties and trading networks
