Job Description –
We are looking for an experienced DevOps Engineer with 5+ years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Containerization, and Cloud/Infrastructure technologies. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in OpenShift and Kubernetes, along with experience in CI/CD, automation, container orchestration, and production support.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain Kubernetes and OpenShift environments.
Deploy, manage, and troubleshoot containerized applications across development, testing, and production environments.
Manage Kubernetes/OpenShift resources including Pods, Deployments, Services, ConfigMaps, Secrets, Routes/Ingress, StatefulSets, and Persistent Volumes.
Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for automated application build, testing, deployment, and release.
Automate infrastructure and deployment processes using scripting and DevOps tools.
Monitor application and infrastructure performance, availability, and capacity.
Troubleshoot issues related to containers, Kubernetes/OpenShift clusters, networking, deployments, and application availability.
Implement security, access control, secrets management, and best practices across container platforms.
Work closely with developers, QA, infrastructure, and operations teams to ensure smooth application delivery.
Participate in production deployments, incident management, root-cause analysis, and performance optimization.
Maintain technical documentation, deployment procedures, and operational runbooks.
Required Skills
5+ years of experience in DevOps / Cloud / Infrastructure Engineering.
Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes.
Strong hands-on experience with Red Hat OpenShift.
Good understanding of Docker / Containerization.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, Azure DevOps, or similar.
Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix environments.
Experience with Git and source-code management.
Good understanding of Kubernetes networking, storage, security, and cluster administration.
Experience with scripting/automation using Shell/Bash, Python, or similar.
Understanding of REST APIs, YAML, JSON, and configuration management.
Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, or similar.
Good to Have
Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Experience with Helm and Operators.
Knowledge of Terraform, Ansible, or other Infrastructure-as-Code tools.
Experience with service mesh technologies such as Istio.
Knowledge of DevSecOps and container security.
Red Hat Certified Specialist in OpenShift Administration (or equivalent) certification.
