Role Description This full-time remote Biomedical Engineer role involves supporting the selection, installation, operation, and maintenance of medical equipment for healthcare and research environments. The Biomedical Engineer will perform routine and preventive maintenance, troubleshoot technical issues, and coordinate repairs to ensure equipment safety, reliability, and compliance with relevant standards. Daily responsibilities include documenting maintenance activities, assisting with equipment evaluations and upgrades, and collaborating with clinical and technical teams to optimize equipment performance. The role also includes contributing to process improvements, developing guidelines for equipment usage, and providing technical support and training to users as needed.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Biomedical Engineering and Clinical Engineering, with the ability to apply engineering principles to healthcare and research settings.
Practical experience with Medical Equipment, including installation, configuration, safety checks, and performance verification.
Skills in Equipment Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance, with a focus on minimizing downtime and extending equipment life.
Understanding of healthcare standards, regulations, and safety protocols related to medical devices and clinical environments.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Biomedical Engineering, Clinical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or a related field.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with attention to detail and accurate documentation practices.
Ability to work independently in a remote setting, manage multiple tasks, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Good written and verbal communication skills for reporting, user guidance, and coordination with stakeholders.
Prior experience in hospital, clinic, or laboratory settings, or exposure to research and innovation projects, is an advantage.
