Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced ERW Production Section Head to lead production operations for a steel pipe manufacturing facility in Saudi Arabia.
The ideal candidate must have strong and proven experience in ERW (Electric Resistance Welded) steel pipe manufacturing, with the ability to manage production operations, manpower, productivity, quality, process efficiency, and achievement of production targets.
This position is suitable for a senior production professional with extensive experience specifically in ERW steel pipe production and a strong understanding of steel pipe manufacturing processes.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage day-to-day production activities within the ERW steel pipe production section.
Ensure production targets are achieved while maintaining required quality and delivery schedules.
Monitor ERW production line performance, output, productivity, downtime, and process efficiency.
Manage manpower allocation, shift operations, and workforce productivity.
Monitor production parameters and ensure adherence to established operating procedures.
Identify production bottlenecks, process losses, and operational issues and implement corrective actions.
Coordinate with Quality, Maintenance, Planning, and other departments for smooth production operations.
Monitor rejection, scrap, rework, material utilization, and production losses.
Drive initiatives to improve productivity, OEE, yield, efficiency, and overall production performance.
Prepare and review production reports, KPIs, shift reports, and performance data.
Ensure compliance with plant safety procedures and HSE requirements.
Lead continuous improvement initiatives within the ERW production section.
Provide technical and operational guidance to production personnel.
Mandatory Requirements
BE/B.Tech in Engineering.
Minimum 12 years of relevant professional experience.
Strong, hands-on experience in ERW steel pipe production/manufacturing.
Proven experience managing an ERW production section, line, or department.
Strong knowledge of ERW steel pipe manufacturing processes and production operations.
Experience in production planning, manpower management, shift management, and achievement of production targets.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Willingness to relocate and work on-site in Saudi Arabia.
Preferred Experience
Experience in a steel pipe manufacturing plant.
Previous experience as Production Section Head, Production Manager, Production Head, or equivalent.
Experience managing multiple production shifts and large production teams.
Experience with production KPI, OEE, yield, rejection, and scrap reduction initiatives.
Previous Saudi Arabia or GCC manufacturing experience will be an advantage.
