Web Designer
Job Summary
We are looking for a creative and skilled Web Designer with experience in designing and developing responsive, user-friendly, and visually appealing websites. The candidate should have good knowledge of front-end technologies, WordPress customization, and basic UI/UX principles.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop responsive and visually appealing websites.
Convert designs, wireframes, and concepts into functional web pages.
Ensure websites are mobile-friendly and cross-browser compatible.
Collaborate with developers and other team members.
Troubleshoot and resolve UI and front-end issues.
Stay updated with the latest web design trends and technologies.
Required Skills
Proven experience as a Web Designer or in a similar role.
Strong knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
Good understanding of jQuery, Flexbox, and CSS Grid.
Experience with responsive web design and Bootstrap/Materialize/Foundation.
Good knowledge of browser debugging tools such as Chrome DevTools.
Strong understanding of website layouts, architecture, aesthetics, and visual design.
Good problem-solving and attention-to-detail skills.
WordPress Skills
Good working knowledge of WordPress website development and customization.
Experience with themes, plugins, menus, widgets, and WordPress settings.
Understanding of theme structure, template hierarchy, and child themes.
Ability to customize headers, footers, layouts, navigation, and other website sections.
Experience integrating HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery with WordPress.
Basic understanding of WordPress hooks, actions, and filters.
Knowledge of custom post types, custom fields, and taxonomies is a plus.
Ability to troubleshoot plugin conflicts and common WordPress issues.
Basic knowledge of PHP, SEO, website security, and performance optimization will be an advantage.
UI/UX
Good understanding of basic UI/UX principles, typography, colors, spacing, and visual hierarchy.
Familiarity with Figma, Adobe XD, Photoshop, or similar tools is a plus.
Qualifications
Relevant degree/diploma in IT, Computer Science, Web Design, or a related field is preferred.
1–3 years of relevant experience in Web Design and WordPress.
A portfolio showcasing web design and WordPress projects will be an advantage.
