Position Overview
A Quality Assurance Engineer at Optimum Info will be responsible for ensuring quality of software
product by defining the test plans and strategy, test scenarios, suites and test cases, executing the tests
and certifying the software product. A key element is active participation in product development right
from product / feature conceptualization through elaboration, development and deployment. You will
also create and maintain automated tests, as well as develop procedures used to ensure that programs
function according to specifications and conform to established guidelines for new and existing software
systems.

validation technologies continue to evolve, it is expected that the QA engineer will constantly
research, identify and adopt the best tools and practices for ensuring high quality software product
releases.
• Develop and maintain a thorough knowledge of the assigned software products and features
• Prepare and maintain test plans and strategy for each product line
• Develop test scenarios and scripts for feature and product testing
• Create, set up, and maintain regression scripts
• Test software with a goal of zero defects on production
• Work with utility programs to test, track, and verify defects in software programs
• Coordinate testing initiatives for releases with the team to ensure all functional areas are
thoroughly tested according to Quality Assurance processes
• Develop and implement automated regression testing scripts
• Monitor program release cycles and validate deployments to prevent impact or errors to the
production operating environment
• Validate and troubleshoot new builds and post-production issues
• Define, track and report quality assurance metrics such as defects, defect counts, test results,
and test status
• Collaborate with other teams (e.g. business analysts, developers) for continuous quality
improvement initiatives
Desired qualifications and experience
• A bachelor’s degree in engineering with 2-3 years of experience with
o Software testing as described in the responsibilities section
o Agile/SCRUM environment
o Development of automated testing frameworks and scripts using tools such as
Selenium, UFT, Coded UI etc.
o Configuration management tools like Git, TFS/Azure DevOps etc.
• Alternatively, holders of other graduate degrees with demonstrable equivalent experience will
also be considered
• Past experience or passion to grow into an SDET profile
