Role Overview:We are looking for a DevOps Engineer II with strong hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, automation, and container technologies.
The DevOps Engineer II will be responsible for implementing and supporting DevOps solutions, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, automating infrastructure and operational activities, troubleshooting issues, and supporting application teams across multiple environments.
The ideal candidate should be able to work independently on well-defined requirements, troubleshoot technical issues, and contribute to improving existing DevOps frameworks and standards.
Key Responsibilities:CI/CD:
Build, maintain, and enhance CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar tools
Configure pipelines for application build, testing, packaging, and deployment
Troubleshoot pipeline and deployment failures
Integrate unit testing, code-quality checks, security scanning, and other required quality gates
Work with existing shared pipeline libraries, templates, and CI/CD frameworks
Identify opportunities to reduce manual deployment activities through automation
Support application deployments across development, test, staging, and production environments
AWS & Cloud Infrastructure:
Provision and support infrastructure primarily in AWS
Work with AWS services such as EC2, ECS, EKS, IAM, VPC, ALB, S3, RDS, Route 53, CloudWatch, and SSM
Troubleshoot infrastructure, networking, IAM, DNS, and application connectivity issues
Support infrastructure changes across multiple environments
Follow established cloud architecture, security, tagging, and operational standards
Infrastructure as Code:
Develop and maintain infrastructure using Terraform
Modify and enhance existing Terraform modules
Create Terraform configurations for new infrastructure requirements
Troubleshoot Terraform plan and apply failures
Manage environment-specific Terraform configurations
Participate in peer reviews of Infrastructure as Code changes
Follow established Terraform and IaC standards
Automation & Configuration Management:
Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks for server configuration and application deployment
Automate operational activities using Ansible, PowerShell, Bash, or Python
Identify repetitive manual tasks and automate them
Maintain and improve existing automation
Troubleshoot automation failures and implement permanent fixes where possible
Containers & Kubernetes:
Build and troubleshoot Docker containers
Deploy and support applications running on Kubernetes/EKS
Work with Kubernetes resources including:
Pods
Deployments
Services
ConfigMaps
Secrets
Ingress
Persistent storage
Work with Helm charts for application deployment and configuration
Troubleshoot container startup, deployment, networking, configuration, and resource issues
Basic experience with ECS/Fargate is beneficial
Monitoring & Troubleshooting:
Monitor infrastructure and application health using tools such as Datadog, Grafana, Prometheus, CloudWatch, or similar platforms
Troubleshoot infrastructure, CI/CD, deployment, and application environment issues
Investigate alerts and operational incidents
Participate in root cause analysis
Identify recurring issues and recommend automation or permanent fixes
Support lower and production environments as required
Participate in an on-call rotation where applicable
Platform & Developer Enablement:
Support Engineering teams in adopting established DevOps and platform standards
Contribute to reusable CI/CD, infrastructure, and automation solutions
Help automate common Engineering requests
Contribute to developer self-service capabilities
Document solutions, troubleshooting procedures, and operational runbooks
Share technical knowledge with team members
Qualifications
3–5 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, Platform Engineering, SRE, or a related role
Hands-on experience with AWS
Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code
Experience building and troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines
Experience with Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent CI/CD platforms
Experience with Ansible or similar configuration-management tools
Working experience with Docker and Kubernetes
Working knowledge of Helm
Experience with Git and pull-request-based development workflows
Scripting experience using at least one of: PowerShell, Bash and Python
Working knowledge of Linux and/or Windows administration
Understanding of networking concepts including DNS, TCP/IP, Load balancers, Firewalls/Security Groups, VPCs/Subnets and Routing
Ability to independently troubleshoot common infrastructure, CI/CD, and deployment issues
Preferred Skills:
Experience with AWS EKS, ECS, or Fargate
Experience with GitOps tools such as Argo CD
Experience with SonarQube, Trivy, or other security/code-quality tools
Experience with observability platforms such as Datadog, Grafana, or Prometheus
Experience supporting both Windows and Linux environments
AWS, Terraform, Kubernetes, or other relevant certifications are a plus
Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment
