Company Description Alliance Commercial Transport is a Heavy Construction Equipment Rental firm. The organization rents out various capacity of Tyre Mounted Cranes, Crawler Cranes and Concrete Truck Mounted Boom Placers for various construction and industrial projects.
Role Description The Crane Engineer is a full-time role with the candidate having his base in Kolkata, but will have to travel regularly to all the sites where the cranes will be working on PAN-India basis, responsible for overseeing the technical performance. Day-to-day tasks include inspecting the cranes before each shift, diagnosing mechanical and structural issues, and coordinating planned maintenance and repair activities. The role involves preparing technical reports, maintaining documentation for inspections and compliance, and working with client's site P&M teams to ensure that crane is always available for lifting activities in accordance with safety regulations and load requirements. The Crane Engineer will collaborate with vendors and internal stakeholders to source parts, implement engineering improvements, and support training on proper equipment use and safety procedures.
Qualifications
Strong technical expertise in tyre mounted and crawler cranes of SANY and KOBELCO, including selection, configuration, and safe operation.
Hands-on experience working with crawler and tyre mounted crane, with the ability to assess performance and identify potential risks.
Proficiency in inspection practices for cranes and lifting systems, including documentation, safety checks, and regulatory compliance.
Skills in maintenance & repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and structural components of cranes and heavy lifting equipment.
Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or Automobile Engineering
Knowledge of relevant safety standards, load calculations, and industry regulations for lifting operations.
Ability to read technical drawings, equipment manuals, and engineering specifications.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and capacity to work on-site in industrial and construction environments.
Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate with operators, supervisors, and client's project managers.
Prior experience in crane engineering, heavy lifting, or industrial maintenance is highly beneficial.
