About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Workiva Implementation Consultant to support the design, configuration, implementation, and ongoing delivery of Workiva platform solutions including GRC, financial reporting, Wdata, and Sustainability
In this role, you will work closely with project teams and clients to understand business requirements, translate those requirements into effective Workiva solutions, and support implementations from initial design through testing, deployment, and transition to ongoing support. You will bring a combination of functional knowledge, technical platform experience, and strong problem-solving skills to help clients improve and automate their risk and compliance processes.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead the analysis and documentation of business and functional requirements and translate those requirements into effective Workiva solutions.
Lead functional and technical design activities for assigned modules and workstreams, including development of configuration prototypes.
Configure, develop, test, and support solutions within the Workiva platform based on client requirements and leading practices.
Develop and coordinate testing plans, including functional and user acceptance testing activities.
Manage assigned workstreams to ensure deliverables remain aligned with project scope, timelines, and requirements, escalating risks or potential deviations as appropriate.
Prepare training materials and support knowledge transfer and delivery readiness for client teams.
Coordinate go-live readiness activities and support the transition of implemented solutions to ongoing support teams.
Support pre-sales activities, including preparation of demonstration environments, proof-of-concept configurations, and technical input for solution discussions.
Collaborate effectively with client stakeholders, project leadership, and cross-functional teams throughout the implementation lifecycle.
Apply knowledge of business processes and technology to identify opportunities to improve, streamline, and automate client processes.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Management Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
3+ years of experience working in a professional environment.
3+ years of experience with software implementation, configuration, or technology-enabled transformation projects.
Demonstrated experience implementing, configuring, or supporting the Workiva platform.
Hands-on experience configuring, administering, or implementing GRC technology solutions.
Understanding of governance, risk, compliance, audit, controls, sustainability, financial reporting or related business processes.
Ability to translate business requirements into functional and technical system requirements.
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment with professionals at all levels.
Strong organizational, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Ability to manage multiple projects, priorities, and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong problem-solving, critical-thinking, and analytical skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Workiva platform administration, implementation, or configuration experience beyond basic end-user functionality.
Workiva or other relevant GRC platform certifications.
Previous administrator-type experience with RSA Archer, ServiceNow GRC, Onspring, Lockpath, MetricStream, or OpenPages platforms.
Experience working across multiple areas of GRC, such as enterprise risk management, internal audit, regulatory compliance, controls management, third-party risk, or issue management.
Experience with data management tools.
Experience of participating in or leading client-facing GRC technology implementations.
Experience developing solution demonstrations, prototypes, or proofs of concept.
Certifications in risk, compliance, audit, or related disciplines.
Experience working in a consulting or professional services environment.
