Backend Engineer

We are looking for an experienced SDE 3 - Backend Engineer to join our product engineering team. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Java or Golang, hands-on experience with AWS or GCP, and excellent knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms. As an SDE 3 you will take ownership of designing and developing scalable backend systems, contribute to architecture and system design decisions, and solve complex technical problems.
Responsibilities:
Design and develop scalable, highly available, and reliable backend services.
Take ownership of critical product modules and deliver high-quality, production-ready solutions.
Work extensively with Java or Golang for backend development.
Design and implement solutions on AWS or GCP.
Apply strong knowledge of Data Structures and Algorithms to solve complex engineering problems.
Participate in System Design and Architecture discussions.
Drive technical decisions and contribute to engineering best practices.
Review code and provide technical guidance to other engineers.
Identify and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability issues.
Collaborate with Product, QA, DevOps, and other engineering teams.
Take ownership of production issues, debugging, monitoring, and continuous system improvements.
Requirements:
5-9 years of software development experience.
Strong hands-on experience with Java OR Golang.
Hands-on experience with AWS OR GCP.
Strong understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.
Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming and design principles.
Experience building scalable and distributed systems.
Strong understanding of System Design.
Experience developing and consuming REST APIs / backend services.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Experience working in a product-based technology environment.
