Role Description The Blender Generalist will work on-site at Ellusion Entertainment’s studio in Borivali, Mumbai in a temporary capacity, collaborating closely with the animation and VFX teams. Day-to-day responsibilities include modeling, texturing, lighting, and rendering assets in Blender for a variety of projects such as animation videos, product demos, and explainer content.
The role involves creating both stylized and realistic Product Renders and characters, setting up scenes, and optimizing assets for production pipelines. The Blender Generalist will also assist in basic compositing, troubleshooting technical issues, and adapting assets to meet client feedback and project timelines. This position requires effective coordination with directors, designers, and editors to ensure visual consistency and high production standards.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Blender for Modeling, texturing, Product Animation, lighting, and rendering, with a portfolio demonstrating diverse 3D work.
Experience creating environments, props, and characters suitable for animation, corporate films, and product or explainer videos.
Basic knowledge of compositing and post-production workflows, and familiarity with integrating 3D assets into motion graphics or VFX pipelines.
Understanding of animation fundamentals, scene layout, and camera work, with the ability to collaborate effectively with animators and directors.
Ability to interpret creative briefs, work within brand and style guidelines, and iterate quickly based on client or internal feedback.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage tasks within tight deadlines in a fast-paced studio environment.
Relevant education in animation, multimedia, design, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Prior experience in a studio setting or on commercial projects is beneficial; exposure to AR/VR or VFX production is a plus.
