Role Description The Assistant Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Kolkata. This role supports the sales team in identifying new business opportunities, cultivating client relationships, and achieving revenue targets. Daily responsibilities include preparing and presenting proposals, conducting client meetings and site visits, coordinating with project and operations teams, and maintaining accurate sales documentation and reports. The Assistant Sales Manager will monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to inform sales strategies and pricing decisions. The role also involves assisting with contract negotiations, following up on leads, ensuring timely responses to client inquiries, and supporting the development of marketing and promotional activities to drive sales growth.
Qualifications
Demonstrated ability in client relationship management, customer service, and stakeholder communication.
Experience in sales or business development, preferably in construction, real estate, or infrastructure sectors.
Strong skills in negotiation, presentation, and basic financial understanding of pricing and margins.
Proficiency with office productivity tools (e.g., MS Office, spreadsheets, CRM or sales tracking software).
Solid organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple leads and projects.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; relevant professional certifications are a plus.
Comfort working on-site, including occasional site visits, with attention to safety and professional conduct.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and adapt to changing client and project needs.
