Role Description The DRI QC Incharge is a full-time, on-site role based in Jamshedpur, responsible for overseeing quality control activities in the Direct Reduced Iron (DRI) plant. On a day-to-day basis, this role monitors raw material quality, process parameters, and finished product specifications to ensure they meet established standards and customer requirements. The DRI QC Incharge supervises sampling, testing, and documentation; coordinates with production and maintenance teams to address deviations; and implements corrective and preventive actions. The role includes maintaining quality records, preparing reports, supporting audits, and driving continuous improvement in plant performance and product consistency. This position also promotes adherence to safety, environmental guidelines, and company policies across quality-related operations.
Qualifications
Strong understanding of quality standards relevant to sponge iron production.
Experience in quality control, including sampling procedures, laboratory testing, data analysis, and reporting within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
Ability to supervise and guide QC teams, coordinate with production and maintenance staff, and manage workflows in a plant setting.
Proficiency in using plant-reporting systems for maintaining records, generating reports
Sound knowledge of safety and environmental practices in heavy industry, with commitment to safe work habits and regulatory compliance.
Relevant technical qualification such as a diploma in engineering related field.
Previous experience in a especially in a QC or production role, is highly beneficial.
Strong observation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to work in shifts and handle on-site operational demands.
