Role Description The Senior QA AI Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. This position is responsible for designing and executing comprehensive test strategies for AI-driven and traditional software applications, including planning, creating, and maintaining detailed test cases. The role involves performing manual testing and test execution, validating system functionality, and ensuring product quality against defined requirements and standards. The Senior QA AI Engineer will collaborate closely with developers, data scientists, and product managers to identify defects, perform root-cause analysis, and drive continuous improvement of testing processes and QA frameworks. This role also includes mentoring junior QA team members, contributing to best practices in AI model validation, and supporting the integration of QA activities across the software development lifecycle.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in Quality Assurance and Software Testing, including experience with end-to-end QA processes.
Hands-on expertise in Manual Testing and Test Execution for complex and AI-enhanced applications.
Ability to design, document, and maintain clear and comprehensive Test Cases aligned with business and technical requirements.
Experience with test management tools, defect tracking systems, and QA reporting.
Familiarity with AI/ML concepts and approaches to validating AI models, data pipelines, and model outputs is highly beneficial.
Knowledge of automation testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, or similar) is a strong plus.
Solid understanding of SDLC, agile methodologies, and collaboration with cross-functional engineering teams.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with attention to detail and a structured approach.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Prior experience in a senior or lead QA role, preferably involving AI or data-intensive products.
