Role Purpose : The DBA / DevOps Engineer manages the organisation's database platforms, cloud infrastructure, DevOps processes, deployment automation, monitoring, and operational reliability. This role combines Database Administration (DBA), Infrastructure Engineering, and DevOps practices into a single cross-functional position to support agile software delivery and stable production operations.
Experience : 5 to 6 years of experience in Database Administration, Infrastructure Management, and DevOps.
Hands-on experience with AWS environments.
Experience managing production databases and enterprise application deployments.
Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
Key Responsibilities
Database Administration
Install, configure, and maintain database environments.
Monitor database performance and optimize queries.
Manage backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
Implement database security and access controls.
Perform capacity planning and database health monitoring.
Ensure high availability and business continuity of database systems.
Infrastructure & Cloud Management
Provision and manage cloud infrastructure environments.
Maintain development, testing, staging, and production environments.
Configure networking, storage, compute resources, and access controls.
Monitor infrastructure utilization and optimize costs.
Implement security best practices and compliance controls.
DevOps & Automation
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines.
Automate application deployment processes.
Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
Manage source control integrations and deployment workflows.
Support release planning and production deployments.
Monitoring & Reliability
Implement monitoring and alerting solutions.
Monitor application, database, and infrastructure health.
Investigate incidents and perform root cause analysis.
Manage operational documentation and runbooks.
Ensure system reliability, availability, and performance.
Security & Compliance
Enforce infrastructure and database security standards
Conduct vulnerability remediation and patch management.
Manage audit logging and compliance requirements.
Support security assessments and operational reviews.
Required Skills
