Role Description This is a full-time remote role for Security Operations Center (SOC) L1 and L2 professionals. The role involves monitoring security events and alerts, triaging incidents, and escalating threats in alignment with established playbooks and procedures. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing logs and telemetry from various security tools, identifying potential compromises, and performing initial and in-depth investigations depending on level (L1 or L2). Team members will document findings, create and update incident tickets, coordinate with internal and client stakeholders, and contribute to continuous improvement of detection rules and workflows. The role also includes participation in shift coverage to support 24x7 operations, preparing reports and metrics, and assisting with incident response activities such as containment, remediation support, and post-incident review.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Security Operations Center practices, including SOC monitoring, alert triage, and familiarity with SIEM and related tools.
Demonstrated Analytical Skills for log analysis, pattern recognition, and root-cause identification in complex technical environments.
Solid understanding of Cybersecurity principles, threat landscapes, security frameworks, and best practices for protecting critical systems.
Knowledge of Network Security concepts, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, segmentation, and secure network architectures.
Hands-on experience or training in Incident Response, including detection, containment, evidence preservation, and documentation of security events.
Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, CySA+, CEH, GSEC, or equivalent are highly beneficial; advanced certifications are a plus for L2 roles.
Ability to work effectively in a remote, global, 24x7 environment, with clear written and verbal communication and strong collaboration skills.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience in SOC or cybersecurity roles.
