About the Role
We are looking for a talented and versatile CGI Generalist to join our creative production team. The ideal candidate will have proven experience working within a high-end commercial, broadcast, VFX, or post-production environment, with a strong combination of creative sensibility, technical expertise, and attention to detail.
You will be responsible for bringing creative concepts to life across a range of CGI and VFX projects, working across multiple stages of the production pipeline. While a well-rounded generalist skillset is essential, you should have advanced expertise in at least one core CGI discipline.
Key Responsibilities
Create high-quality CGI content for commercial, advertising, broadcast, and VFX projects.
Work across the full CGI production pipeline, including:
3D modelling
Texturing
Look development
Lighting
FX and simulations
Rendering
Tracking
Animation
Develop both stylized CGI and photorealistic VFX work while maintaining a high level of visual quality.
Use Cinema 4D (C4D) as a core production tool to develop and deliver creative work.
Set up and optimize scenes, materials, lighting, cameras, and render settings for production.
Work with Arnold and/or Redshift rendering workflows and apply contemporary Physically Based Rendering (PBR) techniques.
Create pre-comps and slap comps in Nuke where required and demonstrate a solid understanding of compositing workflows.
Collaborate closely with Art Directors, Designers, Animators, VFX Artists, Producers, and other creative specialists to interpret creative briefs and deliver high-quality work.
Troubleshoot technical and creative challenges throughout the production process.
Maintain organized, efficient, and production-ready project files and assets.
Adapt to different creative styles, project requirements, and production pipelines.
Stay current with developments in CGI, VFX, rendering, post-production, and emerging AI technologies.
Explore and integrate relevant AI tools and workflows where they can improve creative output, efficiency, or production processes.
Required Skills & Experience
Proven experience as a CGI Generalist, 3D Generalist, VFX Generalist, or similar role within a high-end commercial, broadcast, VFX, or post-production environment.
Strong proficiency in Cinema 4D (C4D).
A broad understanding of the complete CGI pipeline, including modelling, texturing, look development, lighting, FX/simulation, rendering, tracking, and animation.
Advanced expertise in at least one CGI discipline, with the ability to contribute across multiple areas.
Demonstrable experience delivering both stylized CGI and photorealistic VFX.
Experience with Arnold and/or Redshift render engines.
Strong understanding of PBR materials, shading, lighting, and contemporary rendering techniques.
Good understanding of compositing principles and workflows.
Working knowledge of Nuke, particularly for pre-comps and slap comps.
Experience with relevant DCC and creative tools such as:
Adobe Creative Cloud
Substance 3D
ZBrush and/or Mudbox
Other relevant 3D, VFX, and post-production tools
Strong creative eye with an excellent understanding of composition, aesthetics, lighting, materials, colour, and visual quality.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain a high standard of craft.
Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and production workflows.
Good understanding of modern CGI, VFX, and post-production pipelines.
Desirable
Experience working on high-end advertising or global commercial campaigns.
Experience across both design-led CGI and VFX-heavy productions.
Knowledge of additional DCC, compositing, simulation, or rendering tools.
Experience experimenting with or integrating generative AI and AI-assisted creative tools into CGI/VFX workflows.
Understanding of efficient production workflows, asset management, and pipeline development.

High-quality CGI and VFX work
