Key Responsibilities
Manage and review day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting activities.
Prepare and review monthly financial statements, including P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statements.
Perform bank and credit card reconciliations, AR/AP management, journal entries, and general ledger adjustments.
Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with U.S. GAAP and applicable accounting standards.
Work closely with U.S. clients and internal teams to resolve accounting and financial queries.
Review work prepared by junior team members and ensure accuracy and completeness.
Work efficiently with QuickBooks, Xero, and other U.S. accounting software.
Maintain strong documentation, attention to detail, and adherence to internal quality-control procedures.
Communicate confidently with clients and proactively address accounting-related issues.
Requirements
5+ years of hands-on experience in U.S. Accounting.
Strong understanding of U.S. GAAP, reconciliations, financial reporting, and month-end closing.
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online and/or Xero (mandatory).
Strong knowledge of AR/AP, general ledger, journal entries, and financial statements.
Experience with, and U.S. accounting compliance.
Excellent analytical, review, and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with clients and internal teams.
Ability to manage multiple clients and assignments while meeting deadlines.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and quality.
