Role Description The Forex Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Bhubaneswar, responsible for sales along with managing day-to-day foreign exchange operations and customer transactions. The role involves handling currency exchange, processing remittances, ensuring adherence to regulatory and internal compliance standards, and maintaining accurate transaction records. The Forex Officer will analyze market rates, provide customers with timely and accurate information on forex products, and support cross-selling of relevant financial services. Daily activities include preparing and reviewing forex-related documentation, coordinating with internal teams for reporting and reconciliation, and addressing customer queries with clear, professional communication. The role requires close attention to risk management practices and contributing to operational efficiency in the branch’s forex services.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong finance-related skills, including Finance and Financial Statements, with an understanding of foreign exchange products and regulatory requirements.
Candidates should possess solid analytical skills, with the ability to interpret financial data, assess risks, and support accurate Financial Reporting.
Candidates should possess clear and professional Communication skills for interacting with customers, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
Candidates should possess proficiency in basic computer applications and financial software, along with attention to detail and strong numerical aptitude.
Relevant experience in banking, forex, or financial services is preferred, and a degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, or a related field would be beneficial.
Ability to work in a fast-paced branch environment, uphold compliance and ethical standards, and deliver customer-centric service is essential.
