About the Role
Lead the end-to-end execution and scale-up of the organization’s AI portfolio (including ThermaxGPT and Thermax AI Studio applications) by translating business priorities into high-impact AI initiatives, driving cross-functional execution, and ensuring measurable business value and adoption. The role will work closely with Business, Function and Site teams along with Digital/IT, Infrastructure, Cybersecurity and external partners to take AI initiatives from ideation and prioritization through development, deployment, adoption, scale-up and value realization.
Responsibilities
AI Ideation and Roadmap
Drive AI ideation across business functions to identify and shape high-impact AI opportunities aligned with business priorities.
Engage with business and functional leaders to understand key challenges, pain points and opportunities where AI can create measurable value.
Assess and prioritize AI opportunities based on business impact, feasibility, data readiness, complexity and time-to-value.
Develop and maintain enterprise AI Roadmap including prioritized use-cases, future pipeline and investment requirements.
Identify opportunities to scale successful AI solutions across functions and business units.
Continuously track emerging AI capabilities and identify opportunities to apply them to existing and new business processes.
AI Execution and Program Management
Own the end-to-end program lifecycle—from ideation → business case → PoC/MVP → production → scale-up.
Define program objectives, milestones, dependencies, resources, risks and success metrics.
Coordinate multiple AI initiatives running in parallel across different business functions.
Ensure timely resolution of cross-functional dependencies and execution bottlenecks.
Drive user validation, feedback loops and continuous improvement.
AI Adoption and Value Delivery
Partner with business teams to define measurable outcomes and KPIs for every AI initiative.
Develop and drive AI adoption and change-management plans.
Track usage, engagement, user satisfaction and business adoption.
Establish baselines and track revenue impact, cost savings, productivity, quality, customer experience and risk reduction.
Build and maintain portfolio-level dashboards for AI investment, adoption and value realization.
AI Governance & Responsible AI
Establish and drive adherence to AI governance processes along with Cybersecurity team covering: Responsible AI, Data privacy and security, Model risk, AI evaluation and quality, Human-in-the-loop controls, Regulatory and compliance requirements.
Ensure appropriate AI evaluation/eval frameworks, monitoring and model performance tracking are incorporated into production solutions.
AI Ecosystem & Partner Management
Partner with relevant teams to ensure Thermax AI Studio is scalable, secure, reliable and fit for the growing AI portfolio.
Manage relationships with AI technology partners, startups and consultants.
Evaluate emerging AI technologies, platforms and solutions relevant to the organization.
Support vendor selection, PoCs, commercial discussions and partner performance management.
Track and report AI platform TCO and own cost governance and optimization.
Leadership & Stakeholder Management
Build strong relationships with business and functional leaders to understand strategic priorities and drive AI adoption.
Facilitate leadership reviews by providing executive level visibility on AI portfolio progress, key outcomes, investments and value realization.
Drive an enterprise AI culture through awareness, knowledge sharing and AI adoption programs.
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in Product, Project or Program management, digital transformation, technology consulting or AI transformation.
2–3+ years of experience working on AI/GenAI projects or programs preferred.
Proven experience taking technology initiatives from concept to production and adoption.
Experience managing multiple strategic initiatives across business and technology teams.
Experience working with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
Required Skills
Strong program/project management and execution skills.
Understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, RAG, AI Agents, ML and AI product lifecycle.
Strong business acumen and ability to translate business problems into AI opportunities.
Experience in business case development, prioritization and value measurement.
Strong stakeholder management, influencing and executive communication skills.
Understanding of data, cloud and AI technology ecosystems.
Strong problem-solving, analytical and structured-thinking skills.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-changing, ambiguous AI environment.
Preferred Skills
Experience with Agentic AI / AI Agents.
Experience with AI governance, Responsible AI and AI evaluation.
Experience with enterprise AI platforms such as Azure AI, AWS, Databricks, OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.
Experience in industrial/manufacturing, engineering, energy or B2B environments.
PMP/PGMP, Scrum/Agile or equivalent certification.
