V Catapult, on behalf of their client, is looking for skilled Tekla professionals to join a structural steel detailing team in Trichy — from junior talent starting their detailing career to senior professionals ready to lead complex projects on international assignments.
Junior Tekla Modeler (Openings: 6 | 2–4 Years Experience)
Supports creation of accurate 3D steel models under guidance.
Create and update 3D steel models in Tekla Structures; interpret structural/architectural drawings
Place members, grids, and standard connections; support drawings, reports, and material lists
Coordinate with senior modelers, detailers, and checkers
Required: 2–4 yrs in Tekla Structures, exposure to Australian steel detailing projects, strong attention to detail
Senior Tekla Modeler (Openings: 6 | 4–8+ Years Experience)
Independently delivers complex steel models, owns quality and coordination.
Lead modeling from drawing study through IFA/IFC deliverables; generate RFIs
Model complex structural/miscellaneous steel systems; configure connections and numbering
Mentor junior modelers, support task planning and effort estimation
Required: 4–8+ yrs hands-on Tekla modeling, min. 2 yrs on Australian projects, strong connection expertise
Junior Tekla Detailer (Openings: 4 | 1–3 Years Experience)
Supports preparation and revision of fabrication and erection drawings.
Assist in preparing assembly, single-part, and erection drawings; revise per checker comments
Extract drawings from Tekla models; support NC files, DXF files, BOMs, reports
Required: 1–3 yrs Tekla detailing, exposure to Australian projects, strong documentation discipline
Senior Tekla Detailer (Openings: 4 | 4–8+ Years Experience)
Owns end-to-end detailing deliverables, sets quality and precision standards.
Prepare and finalize complex drawings; resolve detailing RFIs; prepare complete packages
Generate NC, DXF, BOMs, submission reports; guide junior detailers
Required: 4–8+ yrs Tekla detailing, experience on Australian projects, strong quality ownership
Junior Tekla Checker (Openings: 4 | 2–4 Years Experience)
Supports quality assurance by reviewing models and drawings.
Assist checking models/drawings against project requirements; identify errors and inconsistencies
Maintain comment logs; coordinate corrections with modelers and detailers
Required: 2–4 yrs exposure to Tekla models/drawings, Australian project exposure, high attention to detail
Senior Tekla Checker (Openings: 4 | 6–10+ Years Experience)
Final quality gate for zero-defect submissions on high-stakes projects.
Independently check models/drawings through complete checking cycle; ensure compliance
Identify root causes of recurring errors; mentor junior checkers; support delivery planning
Required: 6–10+ yrs checking experience, min. 3 yrs on Australian projects, strong leadership skills
