About the Role
We are looking for a senior Cloud Automation Architect who can design and drive enterprise-wide automation strategy, architecture, and roadmaps across complex hybrid cloud and non-cloud environments.
This is an architect-first role. We are looking for an experienced Enterprise / Automation / Infrastructure / Platform Architect who can transform fragmented, manual operational processes into scalable, standardized, production-grade and self-healing automation frameworks.
Architect First, Toolkit Second.AWS, Azure, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes and other technologies are important, but the primary requirement is the ability to architect automation solutions, define strategy, establish standards, and drive enterprise adoption.
Key ResponsibilitiesEnterprise Automation Architecture
Define and drive enterprise automation strategy, architecture, standards, and multi-year roadmaps.
Design automation frameworks across hybrid cloud, on-premises, virtualization, and non-cloud environments.
Identify opportunities to eliminate manual operational processes through automation.
Establish reusable automation patterns, frameworks, standards, and governance.
Drive automation adoption across infrastructure, cloud, security, platform engineering, and operations teams.
Convert operational runbooks into reliable, repeatable, and automated workflows.
Design solutions for scalability, resilience, security, observability, and maintainability.
Ansible Automation
Design and maintain enterprise-grade Ansible automation frameworks.
Develop reusable playbooks, roles, collections, and automation standards.
Work with advanced Jinja2 templating and dynamic inventories.
Automate OS patching, configuration management, security hardening, compliance enforcement, and configuration drift remediation.
Integrate Ansible with Terraform for post-provisioning configuration and operational automation.
Develop custom Ansible modules where required.
Automate infrastructure across AWS, Azure, VMware, and REST-integrated environments.
AWS Cloud Automation
Architect cloud automation solutions across AWS environments.
Design event-driven and serverless automation using:
AWS Lambda
Step Functions
EventBridge
SNS / SQS
S3
AWS Systems Manager
Design scalable automation across multiple AWS accounts and AWS Organizations.
Implement appropriate IAM boundaries and security controls.
Apply AWS Well-Architected principles to automation solutions.
Align cloud automation with security and compliance standards such as CIS and NIST.
Kubernetes, EKS & Helm
Design and automate Kubernetes platform operations.
Develop and maintain reusable Helm charts for multi-environment deployments.
Manage Helm upgrades, rollbacks, release strategies, and canary deployments.
Automate Kubernetes namespaces, RBAC, secrets, and network policies.
Support and drive GitOps adoption using ArgoCD or Flux.
Design scalable and repeatable Kubernetes deployment patterns.
Infrastructure as Code & CI/CD
Design reusable and version-controlled Terraform modules.
Automate AWS infrastructure including:
Networking
IAM
EKS
ECS
RDS
Security controls
Establish Terraform best practices for remote state management and module design.
Build CI/CD pipelines for Infrastructure as Code using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
Integrate automated testing, linting, drift detection, and policy enforcement into IaC pipelines.
Security & Compliance Automation
Automate infrastructure hardening and security remediation.
Implement CIS benchmark enforcement and compliance automation.
Integrate automation with:

AWS Secrets Manager
AWS Systems Manager Parameter Store
Implement policy-as-code using technologies such as:
OPA
Gatekeeper
Conftest
Automate certificate lifecycle management.
Embed security and compliance controls into automation pipelines and frameworks.
Observability & Self-Healing Automation
Design telemetry-driven automation and auto-remediation workflows.
Integrate automation with monitoring and observability platforms such as New Relic and LogicMonitor.
Build self-healing solutions capable of detecting, diagnosing, and resolving operational issues automatically.
Develop automated diagnostic workflows to reduce MTTR.
Convert traditional operational runbooks into automated remediation workflows.
ITSM & Enterprise Integration
Integrate automation workflows with enterprise ITSM platforms.
Support SymphonyAI-driven ticketing, approval workflows, CMDB updates, and change management.
Design automated workflows connecting ITSM processes with infrastructure and cloud automation.
Ensure automation activities maintain appropriate auditability, approvals, and governance.
Build operational runbooks that map directly to ITSM workflows.
API & Scripting Automation
Develop automation using Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Build integrations with REST APIs and enterprise platforms.
Develop reusable automation utilities and frameworks.
Integrate disparate infrastructure and operational systems into unified automation workflows.
Required Skills
12+ years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, platform, DevOps, or enterprise automation.
Strong experience in enterprise automation architecture and strategy.
Proven experience designing automation frameworks and roadmaps across hybrid cloud and non-cloud environments.
Expert-level Ansible knowledge.
Strong Terraform / Infrastructure as Code experience.
Strong Kubernetes and Helm expertise.
Hands-on AWS architecture and automation experience.
Strong understanding of AWS IAM and multi-account architecture.
Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
Experience designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
Strong understanding of enterprise infrastructure, cloud, networking, security, and operations.
Experience integrating automation with APIs and enterprise platforms.
Strong understanding of automation governance, scalability, security, and reliability.
