Key ResponsibilitiesSales and Business Growth
Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the assigned territory.
Prepare store-wise and channel-wise sales plans.
Monitor sales, sell-through, conversion, average bill value, stock turnover and other performance indicators.
Identify underperforming stores and implement corrective action plans.
Study market potential and identify opportunities to expand the brand into new stores, cities and retail accounts.
Support the opening and successful launch of new points of sale.
Store and Retail Partner Management
Manage relationships with large-format stores, multi-brand outlets, distributors and other retail partners.
Conduct regular store visits to review sales, stock, display, staffing and operational performance.
Coordinate with store managers, buyers and retail partner teams regarding stock requirements, promotions, offers and operational concerns.
Ensure timely resolution of store-level issues and maintain high service standards.
Participate in business reviews and commercial discussions with retail partners.
Stock and Merchandise Management
Monitor store-wise stock levels, ageing inventory, fast-moving products, slow-moving products and stock cover.
Coordinate with the merchandising, warehouse and dispatch teams for timely replenishment and stock transfers.
Recommend store-wise product assortment based on customer preferences, regional demand and past sales.
Minimise stock-outs, excess inventory, ageing stock and sales loss.
Support promotional planning and liquidation of slow-moving inventory.
Ensure new collections and seasonal merchandise reach stores according to the launch plan.
Team Management
Recruit, train, supervise and motivate sales staff, promoters and retail executives within the assigned territory.
Set individual and store-level targets and regularly review performance.
Ensure that team members have adequate product knowledge and follow the brand’s selling standards.
Track attendance, grooming, discipline and productivity of store staff.
Conduct regular training on products, selling techniques, customer service and visual merchandising.
Recommend incentives, performance improvement plans or corrective action where required.
Visual Merchandising and Brand Standards
Ensure that products are displayed according to Raa Vedic’s visual merchandising guidelines.
Maintain consistency in product presentation, signage, promotional material and brand communication.
Coordinate with store and visual merchandising teams for new launches, festive campaigns and promotional displays.
Monitor competitor displays, pricing, promotions and product launches.
Reporting and Analysis
Submit accurate daily, weekly and monthly sales reports.
Prepare store-wise performance analysis and action plans.
Maintain reports on sales, stock, ageing, replenishment, returns, staff productivity and competitor activity.
Provide market feedback regarding customer preferences, pricing, product performance and emerging trends.
Present territory performance and improvement plans during periodic review meetings.
Ensure all sales and operational data is accurately updated in the company’s systems.
Commercial and Operational Coordination
Follow up on purchase orders, order fulfilment, dispatches, returns, claims and payment-related matters.
Coordinate with internal departments, including merchandising, production, accounts, warehouse and marketing.
Ensure compliance with company policies and retail partner procedures.
Support reconciliation of sales, stock and commercial claims where required.
Escalate unresolved operational or commercial concerns to management on time.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, Fashion Management, Marketing or a related field.
MBA or postgraduate qualification in Sales, Marketing or Retail Management will be an advantage.
Minimum 4–7 years of sales experience, including at least 2 years in an area or territory management role.
Prior experience in women’s ethnic wear, apparel, fashion retail, lifestyle products or FMCG is preferred.
Experience managing large-format stores, multi-brand outlets, distributors or shop-in-shop counters will be an advantage.
