Role Description The UX/UI Design Intern will support the design team in creating intuitive, user-centered interfaces for web and mobile applications. Day-to-day responsibilities may include assisting with user research, developing wireframes, mockups, and prototypes, and collaborating with developers and product teams to refine design solutions. The intern will help ensure consistency in visual design and interaction patterns and contribute to design documentation and asset preparation. This is an internship role, based on-site at the Spait Infotech office in Nagercoil, offering hands-on experience in a professional design and development environment.
Qualifications
Ability to create user flows, wireframes, and interactive prototypes using common UX/UI tools (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD).
Basic understanding of visual design principles, including layout, typography, color theory, and responsive design.
Interest in user-centered design, usability, and accessibility best practices, with a willingness to conduct and interpret user research.
Comfort collaborating with developers and product teams, and translating requirements into clear design solutions.
Pursuing or recently completed a degree or certification in Design, HCI, Computer Science, or a related field.
Strong portfolio or samples demonstrating design thinking and interface design skills (academic or personal projects are acceptable).
Good written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment.
Familiarity with basic front-end technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus but not mandatory.
