Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Interior Designer role located in Pune District. The Interior Designer will work on residential and commercial projects, developing design concepts, floor plans, and layouts that optimize space, functionality, and aesthetics. Daily responsibilities include preparing and reviewing drawings, selecting materials, finishes, and FF&E, coordinating with architects, contractors, and vendors, and ensuring that design intent is maintained during execution. The role also involves meeting with clients to understand requirements, presenting design proposals, incorporating feedback, and aligning designs with project budgets and timelines. The Interior Designer will contribute to design documentation, site visits, and quality checks to ensure projects meet Mandai Architects’ standards.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Interior Design and Space Planning to create functional, aesthetically pleasing residential and commercial spaces.
Knowledge of Architecture and ability to collaborate effectively with architects and other design professionals.
Proficiency in preparing and reading Construction Drawings, with attention to detail and accuracy.
Experience with FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment) selection, specification, and coordination.
Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and basic MS Office skills.
Strong visual, creative, and conceptual design abilities, along with a good understanding of materials, finishes, and current design trends.
Effective communication and presentation skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site and coordinate with clients, contractors, and vendors.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field, and prior experience in residential or commercial interior projects is preferred.
