Migration Coordinator – Australian Migration

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Migration Coordinator to join our Migration Team.
This is a hands-on processing role for someone with practical experience in Australian visa applications, skills assessments, nominations and migration case management. You will work closely with RMAs/Migration Team Leaders and clients to prepare, coordinate and progress applications from document collection through to lodgement.
Key Responsibilities
Manage multiple Australian migration and visa cases and ensure applications progress within required timelines.
Review client questionnaires and supporting documents for accuracy, completeness and compliance with application requirements.
Prepare and draft visa applications, nomination applications, SBS applications, EOIs and skills assessment applications for RMA/Migration Manager review.
Work across a range of visa matters, including Subclass 186, 482, 494, 820, 801, 600, 485 and other relevant applications.
Assist with skills assessments through authorities such as VETASSESS, ACS, AITSL, Engineers Australia, ANMAC, AASW and other assessing bodies.
Prepare and organise supporting documents, including employment evidence, contracts, reference letters, position descriptions and other application documentation.
Create, review, rename, merge, compress and organise documents in accordance with company procedures and application requirements.
Prepare and maintain accurate client files, case notes, checklists and records in Migration Manager/CRM.
Communicate with clients to request outstanding or corrected documents and provide updates on application progress.
Conduct client orientation calls and explain documentation and processing requirements.
Monitor application progress and follow up with clients, RMAs, assessing authorities and relevant stakeholders.
Assist with Requests for Further Information (RFI) and other application requirements within prescribed deadlines.
Conduct legislative and procedural research to support migration applications and submissions.
Draft supporting submissions and statements where required, including GTE statements, nomination-related documents, character/health submissions and other migration documentation.
Escalate complex matters to the RMA/Migration Manager and ensure appropriate follow-up.
Prioritise urgent and time-sensitive applications and ensure critical deadlines are met.
Work collaboratively with Migration, Sales, Training, Administration and other internal teams.
What We’re Looking For
2+ years of hands-on experience in Australian migration, visa processing, immigration consulting or a similar role.
Practical experience preparing Australian visa applications and supporting documentation.
Experience with skills assessments, EOIs, nominations and/or employer-sponsored applications.
Familiarity with Australian visa subclasses such as 186, 482, 494, 820, 801, 600 and 485 will be highly regarded.
Experience dealing with skills assessment authorities such as VETASSESS, ACS, AITSL, Engineers Australia, ANMAC, AASW or similar bodies.
Strong understanding of Australian migration documentation and application processes.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify missing, inconsistent or incorrect documentation.
Strong written and verbal English communication skills.
Excellent client communication and follow-up skills.
Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
Strong organisational, research and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently while taking direction from an RMA/Migration Manager.
Experience with Migration Manager, CRM or similar migration case-management systems will be an advantage.
